I can speak from experience about this problem that many people face when it comes to food. I find myself after meals still craving for more or when something that looks delicous is put infront of me I just want to eat it. Like the other day I finished with eating at e hall and then not even an hour later my friend brings over cup cakes. What do I do? Eat them of course. My excuse was that I didnt want to make her feel bad by turning down her food even though I know I shouldnt of eaten them.
This is a big problem when I comes to dieting and nutrition people know when they have hit capacity and reached their limits but they keep on eating no matter how bad it makes them feel. I like them experience this problem at times when the food looks so good you cant help but go for another plate. Although it may seem like a small thing at the time most of the snacks that we enjoy after meals are sweets. Like others I have a sweet tooth and crave that after dinner cookie. It used to be so bad for me to the point where I couldn't sleep well at night if I didnt have my sugar fix after dinner. It has gotten much better since that point in my life but I still find myself craving sugar like many others on this campus and around the country.
This sugar need is a huge problem and is the reason why people cannot step away from the sweets. For the most part people can put down the ice cream after one bowl but others take it to extreme and in some cases eat a whole pint of ice cream in one sitting. This is one the reasons why there is such an overweight percentage in America people do not know when to walk away and have to much of a good thing. So the next time you find yourself in this position think of something more healthy to meet that sugar fix. Don't grab a cookie or cake eat some fruit and remember that it is for a good cause.

Does Nutrition Automatically Make you Skinny?
With the new fad of being ultra skinny or ultra ripped, many people will asking the question does eating right or in some cases not eating at all lead to these conclusions? I believe the answer to this is that not all people can and will be ulta skinny or ripped beyond belief unless taken to extreme measures. This is due to the fact that all peoples body compositions are different and make our bodies different than anyone else. For example between me and my mom we could eat the same meals and same amounts of these meals but her at my age would just be smaller becuase of many factors including her metabolism and bone structure. These factors are what in many cases lead to eating disorders.
Many women and even some men would admit that were at one time or another victims of an eating disorder. This is how many women get down into shape in their minds by being ultra skinny, but they are ruinig their health. Women if having experienced an eating disorder record having some physical problems after their experiences and in all cases mental disorders because now a days eating disorders are classified as mental disorders. This is the problem with todays society they advirtise skinny unobtainable bodies that women starve themselves for instead of following a healthy diet. Good nutrition is improtant in all people even if you dont look like the magizines. A persons nutritional health cannot always be seen from the outside but only seen from what they eat everyday. People born naturally skinny can still be in bad health with their eating habits but still be skinny while larger people could be healthier in the way that they eat even know you wouldnt be able to tell from the outside. This all depends on a persons body composition and food works in peoples bodies in different ways and in extreme cases some will resort to anything to have whats in their opinions "a perfect body."

Is cheating the best decision?
No im not talking about the kind of cheating that we see on tests or homework or heaven forbid cheating on a significant other, Im talking about the cheating that some dieters experience I was sitting watching a new episod of I used to the be fat a new reality television series on MTV when I realized how much of a problem this is for dieters. This episod featured a young girl that during the summer before she starts college wants to lose weight and get down to a healthy range and to do this she is given a trainer who also doubles as a nutritionist. Her nutritionist shows her what to eat and how to prepare this food to get to her goal, but for some reason she believed that it might be benefical for her to take her diet into her own hands.
This girl planned her own cheat days where if she believed she had done good with her workout and diet the whole week she would endulge in a pasta dish or desert to reward herself, or in some cases make herself feel better for the hard times she had been going though mentally and physically. What she did not realize is that she may have done a good job the whole week but this one cheat meal was just negating every bit of energy and hard work she had put in the whole week. Within the first month of her diet she had only lost around five pounds of the sixty pound goal due to these cheat days.
I wanted to write and warn about cheating on diets because to me it is one of the biggest problems seen today with the average dieter. You could eat a salad everyday all week and keep your calorie intake down but right when you put that pasta or chocolate cake in ur mouth it just sparks a craving for more, which leads to another and maybe even bigger cheat the next time or even next meal. Those on diets need to realize that their hard work of giving up food and working out will all be wasted if they participate in on of the biggest epidemics in the dieting world, the cheat day.
