Why?

I decided to write about nutrition becuase I believe that everyone has the right to be healthy and eat healthy to keep their bodies in shape and live a long healthy life.  I think that everyone should know more about what they are putting into their bodies and how it is effecting them and the life that they are living.  I want to discus what foods should be eaten and for what reasons as well as how the foods that most americans rely on such as fast food is effecting their bodies.  I think everyone should know the best way to live a healthy way of life and to me this starts with the right foods.

I just recently found out about this through experience but nutrition not only affects your weight and health but it also has an affect on your allergies (not just food allergies but pollen, animal hair, etc.). It sounds crazy I know. I have struggled with pollen and animal allergies all my life and my mom recently decided to set me up with a nutritionist because my diet has an affect on my allergies. According to WebMD, "A healthy diet for allergies or hay fever protects you in many ways. It helps keep your respiratory system strong. Many foods can help you breathe better because they open up clogged nasal passages. A nutritious diet also boosts your immunity to allergies. Certain foods have nutrients that can help boost your immunity and help your body fight sinus and respiratory infections, which are linked to allergies and hay fever".
